Section 1: Introduction
Open shifts are added by your supervisor to fill gaps in the schedule or provide extra coverage on a specific date. These shifts are posted in the M7 app and available for eligible employees to pick up. If interested, you can view details like shift type, location, and incentive, then request to work the shift. Once approved, it will be automatically added to your schedule.
Section 2: Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Launch the M7 App
This app is most likely already installed on your phone from your M7 training session.
- If you haven’t downloaded it yet, watch this quick video for step-by-step instructions.
- Prefer using a browser? Open your preferred browser and enter your facility’s dedicated website URL: [facility name].m7health.com.
Step 2: Choose a Date with an Open Shift
-
Open shifts are indicated by a lime green ‘$’ icon.
-
A dark green ‘$$’ icon means the shift includes an incentive.
-
Click on the ‘$’ icon to view shift details and incentives.
Step 3: Submit Your Open Shift Request
- Tap the circle next to the open shift and select ‘Request Shift.’
- If necessary, you can switch to Partial Shift if you're only able to work a specific number of hours. Additionally, you can add a note for your scheduler before submitting your request.
- The ‘$’ icon will change from green to black, indicating that the shift is pending scheduler approval.
Need to request multiple open shifts on the same day?
- Request one open shift, then click back on the same day to select and request another shift.
Need to cancel your request before it’s approved?
- Simply click back on the open shift and select ‘Unrequest Shift.’
🔔 Note: If your open shift is approved, you’ll receive a text message, and the shift will appear on your current schedule like any other shift.
