Section 1: Introduction
The M7 app makes shift swaps and coverage requests simple. Submit a request, notify your team and scheduler in real time, and track its status. You can also see available colleagues who might take your shift, and once approved, your schedule updates automatically.
Section 2: Step-by-Step Guide
To Make a Swap or Replacement Request:
Step 1: Launch the M7 App
This app is most likely already installed on your phone from your M7 training session.

- Prefer using a browser? Open your preferred browser and enter your facility’s dedicated website URL: [facility name].m7health.com.
Step 2: Navigate to the Schedule Tab
- To ensure you're on the Current Schedule page, choose one of the following options:
- Click on the ‘Schedule’ tab in the bottom left hand corner of your app.
- In the upper right corner, toggle to ‘Current.’
Step 3: Choose a Date with a Scheduled Shift

When you click on a shift, a detailed card will appear with all the shift information.

In the center of the card, you’ll find two black buttons: ‘Swap’ and ‘Replace.’
Step 4: Request a Swap Shift
- Click the black ‘Swap’ button.
- The day you are scheduled to work will be highlighted in red, and your other workdays will appear on the mini calendar view.
- Select the day you’d prefer to work and browse the list of available shifts. Once you find a suitable swap, select the individual and click ‘Request Swap With….’
- This will notify that individual of your swap request.
- Your request will appear in the ‘Request’ tab under the ‘Pending’ column, awaiting review by both the staff member and your scheduler.

Step 5: Request a Replacement Shift
- Click the black ‘Replace’ button.
- A confirmation message will appear; click ‘Confirm’ to proceed.
- This will notify all eligible individuals about the extra shift opportunity.
- The request will appear in the ‘Request’ tab under the ‘Pending’ column, awaiting review by both the staff member and your scheduler.
Step 6: Confirmation Text and Schedule Adjustment

After the selected individual accepts your request and your Scheduler approves it, you’ll receive a text notification confirming the update, and your schedule will be automatically adjusted.
To Accept a Swap or Replacement Request:
This app is most likely already installed on your phone from your M7 training session.
Step 1: Navigate to the Request Tab
- Click on the ‘Request’ tab at the bottom of your page.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘New’ Column
- Review and choose to accept, ignore, or decline any pending swap or replacement requests.

Step 3: Confirmation Text and Schedule Adjustment

After your Scheduler approves it, you’ll receive a text notification confirming the update, and your schedule will be automatically adjusted.
❗️Note: Some replacement shifts may not appear if they would result in overtime. If you interested in picking up a shift but it is not visible, please contact your manager for assistance.
